ULES Digest Issue 6 — Campus Is Alive Again

ULES DIGEST — ISSUE 6

Hey ULESites! After weeks of whispers, waiting, ASUU tension, hostel uncertainty, and lecturers acting like “school never start,” Akoka has finally woken up — for real this time.

Physical classes officially kicked off on Monday, 24th November 2025, and the Faculty of Engineering is back in action; no more “classes will start next week.” The university has confirmed Saturday, 6th December as the date for students to resume into their respective hostels, after the balloting process which is to take place on Friday. A friendly reminder to register your courses and ballot if you haven't done so.

QUADTOPIA IS COMING, PREPARE YOUR INNER CHILD

What better way to kick off the festive season than Quadtopia, an Engineering Playground! It's happening on December 17th, 4PM, at the Engineering Quadrangle. Come in white, come correct, and if you miss it, you'll hear about it for months… painfully.

INFO DESK

The last two weeks have come with mixed feelings, with most of us trying to juggle physical resumption without hostels. Unlike most students, our jobs as excos make it almost impossible not to be in school, and it has been a hassle keeping up. Away from that, it's been interesting to see young and new students coming for registrations. We are currently planning their orientation, while also preparing to host our social night for the session.

FROM THE AGS' DESK

Yes, it's real, classes have fully kicked off. This is the time to get serious, NOW. Attend classes, read your books, and chill out once in a while. It's time for ULES to show that we can party as hard as we study; don't be gisted, be present at Quadtopia. God bless ULES.

— Olamide Lawal, Assistant General Secretary, 25/26 Academic Session
