ULES DIGEST — ISSUE 4

ULESites, we're back! The 2025/26 Academic Session has officially kicked off at the University of Lagos, and it's already been an interesting first week with plenty of gist, updates, and a sprinkle of confusion.

FIRST WEEK OF RESUMPTION

Classes haven't started yet, but things are taking shape. Freshers are still waiting to begin their admission process, while our 500-level people are currently attacking — sorry, defending — their SIWES projects. We also await the official faculty timetable so we can know what we are doing. All in all, welcome back to school!

SCHOOL FEES & ACCOMMODATION

The new school fees list dropped on Tuesday, October 28th, and let's just say everywhere semo. Management has “cleared the air” about the supposed hike, and students who might need help with paying the fees are encouraged to check out the NELFUND loan. Hostels are being prepped and fumigated, and balloting dates should be out soon. Fingers crossed.

INFO DESK

Construction is officially underway on both male and female toilets as we prepare for your return, and by the time you come, you should meet your toilets in a new look. Also, join us this Sunday night for an IG Live where we'll discuss what's next, answer your questions, and give the full rundown on the new session. If you have suggestions or objections about how we run things, this is where to come talk about it.

— Damilare Aribisala, Public Relations Officer, 25/26 Academic Session

FROM THE AGS' DESK

Hey guys, welcome back! Let's start strong this semester; exams will sneak up soon, don't let them do you like a dream! And while we grind, don't forget to enjoy the ride, because The Force has big things planned. As for school fees? God abeg.

— Olamide Lawal, Assistant General Secretary, 25/26 Academic Session

ULESITE OF THE WEEK
