UNILAG Number 1? ULES Is Number 1!

ULES DIGEST — ISSUE 3

Forget the shakara — the University of Lagos Engineering Society is making serious noise. With UNILAG officially ranked Number 1 in Nigeria, it's only right we boldly shout it: ULES is the best faculty in the whole country!

But it's not just about rankings, we are building proper engineers. We recently gathered for our crucial Mental Health in a Digital Age webinar. After all, even as an engineer, you must find balance and check yourself before you wreck yourself — no dulling on well-being! We also hailed our phenomenal female engineers on the International Day of the Girl Child; they are truly breaking barriers and setting the pace.

On the project front, the massive Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Training is loading — please, register now! And as for the ASUU strike whispers? We are not praying for that kind of negative energy this semester. We must resume and finish strong.

So, ULESites, recharge well, we move!

INFO DESK

Resumption is around the corner and we're already waiting for you to get back on campus. Behind the scenes, plans are in motion to upgrade your campus experience: new toilets are coming to the faculty, and work has begun on restoring steady water supply too. We're building the environment you deserve, one step at a time.

ULESITE OF THE WEEK

Fadilullahi Ayodeji Adeniyi, a 400L Chemical Engineering student, is making waves beyond the shores of Akoka. One of only four Nigerians selected as a Morehead-Cain Global Fellow at the University of North Carolina, Ayodeji has also won the NSChE Hackathon and the ULES–YEFoN Quiz Competition, and earned the best WASSCE result in his district. He now contributes to cutting-edge research on sodium-ion batteries as safer, more affordable energy solutions.
