The Semester Wraps: Exams Done, Holidays Begin

ULES Digest Issue 11 — The Semester Wraps

ULES DIGEST — ISSUE 11

For the first time since the 22nd of February, welcome to the 11th issue of the ULES Digest!

Congratulations to everyone for finishing their examinations, fighting through weeks of changed timetables, postponed exams and trying to perform the great remontada.

It has been an eventful semester, with freshers getting their first glimpse of how university life is, staylites getting back to the books and the grind, and finalists being a step closer to leaving the four walls of Akoka for good.

It's been fun riding with you for the whole semester, bringing you up to date with the latest in ULES, and as we leave for the holidays: rest up, and get set to be blown away by THE FORCE in the second semester!

INFO DESK

In the last two weeks, we partnered, through ULES ARB, with Squad (by GTCO) to give laptops to lucky students in the faculty. We also worked on some projects, including a hackathon and a SIWES session held by Squad (by GTCO). Lastly, all hands are on deck for the upcoming ULES Sports Festival coming soon. I hope you'll be part of this greatness.

It's been an interesting semester filled with drama, events, fresh starts and new beginnings, but the second semester promises a lot more. ULES has a lot in store for you — events, the Sports Festival, Faculty Week and more. The second semester calendar is stacked, and you shouldn't miss out on anything.

— Olamide Lawal, Assistant General Secretary, 25/26 Academic Session
